Pulse is a text messaging app. This policy explains what data it handles and why.

1. WHAT PULSE STORES
Pulse keeps a local database of your conversations: message text, timestamps, delivery status, and the phone numbers or sender IDs you have exchanged messages with. This database lives only on your device, in Pulse’s private app storage. It is not uploaded anywhere by Pulse.

If Pulse is set as your default messaging app, incoming and outgoing SMS are also written to the system SMS provider (the same store other messaging apps and the Messages app use), so your history stays available if you switch to a different app later.

2. CONTACTS
When you open a conversation or the new-message screen, Pulse reads your device contact list to show names and photos instead of raw phone numbers. Contact data is read on demand and is not copied into Pulse’s own database or sent anywhere.

3. PERMISSIONS
Pulse requests SMS, contacts, and notification permissions solely to send and receive text messages, match senders to your contacts, and notify you of new messages. None of these permissions are used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to messaging.

4. WHAT PULSE DOES NOT DO
Pulse does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, does not sell or share your messages or contacts with third parties, and does not transmit your message content off your device.
